I Have Called You By Name

A Faith based poem

By Sarah Fiander HarrisonPublished 4 days ago • 1 min read

'I have called you by name

You are mine' said he.

That warm dry night in the Galilee.

A lost soul was I, bent out of shape.

I did not know how much more  I could take.

Wretched, rejected, abused and alone,

I was used to strange men follow me home.

But He was different, He mesmerised me

'Look up' he told me, 'and then you will see.'

He cupped my face with his hands

The change within me then began.

I felt overwhelmed, overjoyed and free

I looked at Him then,

And at last I could see.
