I Found A Genie In A Bottle Trapped
My wishes granted but what was the cost

I Found A Genie In A Bottle Trapped
Inside a crumbling attic cold
Among forgotten things of old
I found a bottle cracked with dust
Hidden beneath decay and rust
The room grew darker than before
A whisper slipped beneath the door
My heartbeat thundered in my chest
While fear and wonder wrestled rest
I held the bottle to the light
Blue smoke erupted through the night
A woman formed from silver flame
She softly whispered out my name
Her eyes were oceans filled with pain
A soul imprisoned by a chain
She floated slowly near my face
Like sorrow trapped in human grace
She said three wishes I could claim
Yet every wish would leave a stain
No mortal leaves here without scars
When begging gifts beneath dead stars
I laughed away her haunted tone
My greed already fully grown
I wished for wealth beyond belief
To bury every trace of grief
Gold flooded every room I owned
Diamonds around my body shone
Yet envy slithered through the crowd
False friends appeared so fake and loud
They smiled while plotting from behind
Like wolves disguised as something kind
I felt their hunger every day
My peace and trust were stripped away
The second wish escaped too fast
To erase shadows from my past
I wished for beauty fierce and rare
To make the whole world stop and stare
Soon strangers followed where I walked
Every room fell still and shocked
Yet beauty carried poisoned teeth
Rotting slowly underneath
Every lover touched my skin
Only craving what they win
Nobody saw the soul inside
Only the face I could not hide
The genie watched with silent eyes
Knowing every hidden lie
She warned me once to stop the game
Still I burned within my shame
My final wish came soaked in rage
Like fire trapped inside a cage
I wished for power over fate
To crush the people filled with hate
The room exploded black and red
The walls screamed words the dead once said
The genie smiled with hollow breath
As darkness wrapped the scent of death
every midnight or by the sharp at three
That cursed genie visits me
Her fingers cold upon my throat
Like icy water forced to float
The bottle waits beside my bed
A prison feeding off the dead
I found a genie trapped that night
Now I am trapped within her sight
