I Find A Way

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 17 hours ago • 1 min read

[Verse 1]
Some days I wake up already braced
Jaw locked tight, hair in my face
The kettle clicks, I miss the sound
And every small thing feels too loud

[Pre-Chorus]
I get scared, I get mad
Lose the thread of what I had
Still, when the floor gives way
I find one step to take

[Chorus]
I don't always feel strong
Some days I can't tell right from wrong
I'm scared and pissed and out of plans
But I get up, I use my hands
I find a way, not pretty, not sure
Just one more door, one more mile more
I don't need to know the whole way through
I find a way, like I always do

[Verse 2]
I read the same note five times through
Forget the thing I meant to do
I call my sister from the stairs
Say, "I don't know," and leave it there

[Pre-Chorus]
I get scared, I get mad
Feel the day slip from my hands
Still, when the floor gives way
I find one step to take

[Chorus]
I don't always feel strong
Some days I can't tell right from wrong
I'm scared and pissed and out of plans
But I get up, I use my hands
I find a way, not pretty, not sure
Just one more door, one more mile more
I don't need to know the whole way through
I find a way, like I always do

[Bridge]
No grand speech, no sudden light
Just my boots beside the bed tonight
A glass of water, keys, the door
I don't have to solve it all
I only have to start once more

[Final Chorus]
I don't always feel strong
Some days I can't tell right from wrong
I'm scared and pissed and out of plans
But I get up, I use my hands
I find a way, not pretty, not sure
Just one more door, one more mile more
I don't need to know the whole way through
I find a way, like I always do

[Outro]
One step to take
I find a way
