Today

I feel obliged

To put pen to paper

To poetically publish

To ornately orate

To lavishly lament

Stating my position

For history’s remission

Today

I feel obliged

To stand up

To stand out

To scream

To bellow from mountaintops

But

Mountains crumble

Ages wisdom

Forfeit

Instead, come cheers

As masters

Soar

Into orbit

Today

I feel obliged

To turn through pages

Enjoying tales of Arthur

And Aragorn

And hope…

Like a fool

An honest...

Fool

Today

I feel obliged

To hope…

To hope…

To…
