Alright, for real, it's been years

Move along

Girl, don't make me hurl

I've BEEN gone

And this is getting to be

Embarrassing for you

And annoying to me

Do you remember the size of my smile when I caught you cheating?

You know I'm a stoic guy

But I smiled wider than wide

And I felt like I might

Float right up to the sky

Yes, to an outside observer I probably looked to be high

And why?

There was only one drug in my mind

The extreme dopamine rush of saying: bitch, bye!

And of course I was glad to dump you

You're a more obvious problem than a thorn in the shoe

You were abusive, you were cruel, you were coarse,

A bruise here and there, but the real hurt came from your words

You told me I was ugly, embarrassing, unlovable scum

You yelled every night, no matter the good I had done

You showed by every glance and each frown

That whatever I was just wasn't enough

You brought me down, so I had to tough up

But I was trapped by the vows I had made

A man of my word,

And my word forced me to stay

I lost all hope and faith

Just like an animal trapped in a cage:

Anxious and bleeding and wishing to die

There were times where I needed to cry

But both my soul and my well had run dry

I'll say it once more

In case you missed it the first time

And you know every word is true because I'm not one to lie:

Being with you made me wish I would just DIE

That's not exaggeration, nor hyperbole

Being with you made me hate being me

I wanted an out from those damnable vows

I needed to leave but I didn't know how

And in my heart of hearts

I was rooting heavy for "Death do us part"

Because I made a promise, to live with a cruel-hearted sow

Then, thank GOD,

Thank God I caught you fucking around

A mercy! And an out

I could practically shout

Because it wasn't me who broke those damnable vows

I could finally leave

For the first time in ten years

I could finally breath

Away from your shadow I could finally pray

You remember what you said that first night?

You showed up,

Dressed to impress

And promised I could do anything

If only I took you back

You remember what I said?

I laughed

I told you no

I told you turn around and just go

To go get yourself railed out by your new bloke

You remember what you told me, your EX, after you'd had your fun?

The reason why you wanted that guy all up in your guts with his taste on your tongue?

Because you had an Asian fixation

He was a checkmark on your bucket list

Poor guy, did he know you called him "a fetish"?

I felt terrible-- not for leaving your ass

I was blessed we were finally through

But I held some guilt

For releasing your ass

Upon an unsuspecting world

A vampire on he hunt

A ghoul on the prowl

Looking to suck down your next unlucky mark

I remember

When you were still dating your "fetish" you sent me a video

Do you recall?

A clip of you twerking, and winking, and grinning at the camera

Trying to pull me back like a yo-yo

I laughed again and told you hell no, ho

Eventually your fetish MAN got a clue,

He called you a distraction

Guess he dumped your ass too

And you went begging the next sorry sod for some action

There's a reason you cannot bear a moment alone

Because that's the way you SHOULD be-- and you feel that in your bones

You're just as peaceful as a cyclone

As pleasant and fun as pillow made up of stone

And you're entirely as admirable and as lovely

As a predatory loan

Alone,

That's the way you know you should be

Take it from me

I've spent more years beside you than any human on earth

And you again you know honesty is easy for me,

This is the truth:

I know you better than your own mother

And even she seems to know you are dirt

Alone,

That's the way you should be

On an island,

In the middle of an infinite sea

To spare the rest of humanity

Because I wouldn't wish any man the misery of proximity to you

Except maybe some evil scumbag like hitler or netanyahu

Yeah,

You do remember how I smiled when I dumped your stank-ass

Because YES

You're even worse than a mouthful of trash

Now it's been several years since we've been through

And every morning I forget that you even exist

Until you blow up my phone, inflicting yourself on me with some

Dull-minded-incessant-buzzing-fly-shit

There's no need for your voice, but you insist and persist

I assumed it was because you're a psychotic witch

Who just can't stop herself from scratching the itch

And throwing ceaseless bitch fits

But today I was given the pitiful truth

You're still not over me, and I have the sad proof

For just an hour ago, what did you do?

You hacked my ID to take a little snoop

Reading all the messages I've sent after I gave you the boot

To women who were infinitely, endlessly better than you

You invaded my privacy, stole words that were not meant for your eyes

But the worst of it is you invaded THEIR privacy too

Some were partners, others just friends

But you're just an ex, and you had no right in the end!

Yet you read and you pried anyway?

Why? Cuz you have neither conscience nor pride, to this day?

An invasion, all in fixation on your ex,

When the only man you should've worried about was your current guy

Because let's be real. It's only a matter of time

Until he wakes up and stands up

And sends your ass down the line

And you'll be left gulping that bitterest wine:

Another notch in your bed post,

The long list of men who have realized their lives

Are instantly better without YOU on their minds

You're never single for more than a week

And you've never dumped anyone

You know what that means?

Girl,

You're the problem

But go on blaming the rest of the world

Well if you haven't had enough of my words

From reading my chats with women I liked much better than you

Then I hope your weird stalkerish ass finds your way here

If you've stumbled upon this poem, I hope it earns you a couple tears

And maybe a groan or two

Bitch, give yourself a good, long boohoo

Because that's all you've earned

And it's what you deserve

But I'm not done,

Cuz, while you're here I've gotta reveal your absolute worst,

I'll lay it right out in my next little verse:

Reflect on all the creepy, predatory shit that you've done

And then I'll tell you your most evil stunt...

You. Rejected. Your. Kids.

You sniveling cunt!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm happy to stand up as their dad

But the fact that you INSISTED on seeing them LESS is so yucky and bad

You're a deadbeat mom, whittling down each cold visitation

Then canceling right and left,

to save a few dollar for your next happy vacation

You're so fucked in the head to deprioritize your own children

Kids on't know better, but to us grown folks you will stay unforgiven

You're an embarrassment to the planet and to something like 4 billion women

So

If invading my private messages has given you one little inkling

Let it be the realization of the main thing:

I left you PERMANENTLY

The best choice in my life, it won't be undone,

The thought of you makes me dry heave

I'm overjoyed to be gone, so girl just move on

And get this through your skull, so we can finally have done

Just go on and admit what you already believe

Being alone is exactly where the fuck you belong

You're current man will dump you soon, now it won't be long

Then again

As always,

You'll have to run right along

Cuz there's one desperate thing you can ALWAYS achieve:

You can throw yourself to the next guy like some giddy cock sleeve

Yep

Until he wises-up to the woman who ignores her own children's needs

And then he too finally packs up and leaves

Author's note:

Was planning on writing an entry for the ongoing Vocal+ horror challenge tonight.

But I found out my ex started reading my private text messages through my apple ID-- we've been separate for years and I literally can't wrap my head around wanting to invade someone's private conversations like that.

I rarely think of her, and couldn't care less what she thinks of me but I can't stand people who are disrespectful to other people. She didn't only read my words-- she read other people's words, people who had a reasonable expectation of privacy.

She violated what I would call basic decency. Gives me the ick for sure.

I don't think she got any of their personal info, so to her they're just names and phone numbers. But still. It's bothering me she read their words more than its bothering me she read mine.

And still, what did I expect from a woman who rejected a 50/50 custod
