I dream in Purple

Where are They?

She asked the moment her feet touched the ground.

’’I don’t see them anymore, there’s nothing, just a pitch black night, just a hole without the end. I want my lilacs,I want my colours back, my purple umbrella and green stories, my golden fairies riding on the back of the birds. I want them back. Please, give me back my Dreamland. I’m nothing without my dreams and they are nothing without me as they need to be dreamed away. ‘’

“Wake up!” - they say.

She keeps choosing Them instead. Lost in the lilacs wonderland daydreaming about the forgotten gardens of yesteryears wondering whether they still remember all the loves they witnessed and choose to stay quiet forever. Should she be?

‘’You’ll be punished for your sins.’’- they repeat.

She hears the whispers. ‘’And when you arrive at it’s doors, do not be afraid child, there are gonna be your lilacs there and all sort of purple and even your thoughts will float around like petals on the wind. ‘’

‘’Build a proper career.’’- they kindly advised.

She sees her dreams now. Even more clear. They are loud and vivid as the fifty shades of purple. They scream independence,magic,devotion and pride.She follows them. After all. One artist in a making.

‘’Find a man, you will need one.’’- they intrude into my heart.

She is craving for Her. ‘’ I’m gonna keep the streets empty for Her. There are two faces in the mirror and one shadow follows up our walk of shame.’’

‘’Come back ‘’home’’ .‘’- they are preying on her.

She stays in the no man’s land. Stranger. Might be. Foreigner. For sure. Expat. Definitely. Sinner. Who isn’t? But never weak, never lost, nevermore. Always Her and Her now, lovers, artists, hedonists, alone but never lonely.
