I don’t really want a job… I just want to be relevant.
To be seen and heard
I don’t want the nine-to-five
The everyday corporate dive
The daily grind with colleagues I don’t like
The income I waste on a bike
Societies gaze is a poll I borrow
Relevance beckons me to follow
The sirens call to stand tall
One I struggle to follow and often fall
Oh to make a difference and leave a mark
To be seen and heard and be that spark
To make a living with a smile on my face
Or maybe it’s the dreams speaking; maybe its just a phase
In due time, they all fall into place
In due time I’ll know my place
For anxiety would indeed give way for a higher voice
One that commands obedience, one that makes me rejoice.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you- 1Peter 5:7
