“Why bother trying?
There’s no use applying.
You’ll never get in, and here’s why,
You’re not smart enough to apply.
You want to do law?
My dear, whatever for?
You need a high level of reading,
For you, my heart is bleeding.”
Cruel words spoken by teachers,
Who taught me I can never be a leader.
To those comments, I laugh.
It’s taken a while, but walk down my path.
Look at what I’ve achieved,
I studied hard and I did succeed.
You tore me down,
Ripped my soul and shot me down.
I even taught and coached my own class,
So you can sit behind that mask.
I know it’s hard, I know it’s tough,
But I know I’m smart enough.
I want you all to know, I did it,
I fucking did it!
