I DESPISE YOUR LIES

Liars are so low I want to slap them

I DESPISE YOUR LIES

I listened to your stories,
And wanted them to be true,
But every time I trusted,
You found another lie.

You looked me in the eyes then,
And swore that you were right,
But truth has ways of showing,
What people hide from sight.

I found the little messages,
You thought I’d never see,
And suddenly the person,
I knew was not the same.

I asked you for the truth then,
You still denied the lies,
You couldn’t look directly,
Into my waiting eyes.

I cried because I trusted,
Your words more than my heart,
I never thought your lying,
Would tear my world apart.

I despise your lies now,
More than I hate goodbye,
You made me doubt my feelings,
And question what was right.

I won’t keep asking questions,
Or begging you to change,
I’ve heard enough excuses,
And know your words were false.

So take your lies and keep them,
I don’t need them anymore,
I’ve closed the door behind me,
And won’t unlock it once more.
