I'd Like to Be

I mean, like… in love, for real!

Not just partially,

Engaged forever...

or kind of dating.

Settling for the rest of it because,

I'm terrified to be alone, or have no one to game, and watch Netflix with;

or have anything to talk about at gatherings when we talk politics, and ask,

"so what do you do?"

And waste our lives in mindless, chatter...aimlessly commenting on how

many kids, we have, how long we've been

married, or together...

and what jobs we do?

That sick feeling I get when those, couples, with kids, insist on sharing their

fucking pics!?

I'd rather not see it.

I'd rather not be in love (at all)

if I can't feel it.
