I Asked The Universe For A Sign
Manifesting won’t work if the time isn’t right

I Asked The Universe For A Sign
I asked the universe for a sign,
Something simple, something mine,
A little clue to show the way,
Something I could trust today.
A feather landed by my feet,
A certain number filled my street,
A song came on I knew too well,
Was it a sign? I couldn’t tell.
I shuffled cards and chose just three,
And read the things I hoped to see,
I watched the moon, I watched the sky,
And questioned every reason why.
I found his name in silly places,
Saw memories in strangers faces,
A certain time appeared each day,
I thought the universe might say.
Don’t give up just wait a while,
One day you’ll see that missing smile,
The things you lost will come around,
What’s meant for you will still be found.
But was that really what it said,
Or just the hope inside my head,
Was I believing every clue,
Because I wanted it be true.
So one dark night I stood outside,
With nowhere left for hope to hide,
No riddles now no maybe sign,
Give me an answer clear and fine.
No feather fell no number came,
No shooting star spelled out a name,
No sudden breeze disturbed the trees,
The night stayed silent around me.
I waited there for quite a while,
Then something made me softly smile,
Perhaps the answer I’d been shown,
Was one I’d always really known.
For silence sometimes speaks out loud,
Without a sign without a crowd,
And maybe when no answers show,
It’s simply time to let things go.
