I AM YELLOW

Color is life

I love yellow.

Sun is yellow.

Sun shines to everyone below.

I am yellow.

I love everyone that says hello.

Whether gay, straight or WeirDo

When I was a teeny and frisky

I used to ask why yellow I fancy.

Now that I’m wiser with age

What I discovered in my search

Helped me realized and reconciled this maze,

Embraced the fact with ease.

And owned the truth with breeze

Why yellow I like?

Because I am yellow alright

Like sun that empowers.

Me too have that power.

To have convictions that made me stronger

Only deals with what matters.

Focus on the things on your platter

Here, now and thereafter.

I did not do anything wrong.

There is nothing wrong with being wrong.

That is precisely why we have rights.

To protect us in our fights

There is nothing wrong with me.

I am yellow and yellow ‘til I be.

I am unique no one messes with me.

I am yellow and yes I love

As pure and white as a dove

Love is a rainbow I know.

Others love green, orange, red, indigo

Others also love violet and blue.

And I love yellow.

When God created the rainbow

He has good intentions I know.

To give happiness, hope and beauty

To be enjoyed throughout eternity.

He could have chosen one color

Or two, or three or four

But no, He chose seven different colors

To display its grandeur in its splendor

For all of us to adore

Being yellow has its conflicts and stinks,

It is not at all neat and sweet,

It is also messy and dirty,

Blurry and scary.

It is not always blessed and bliss.

But I have come to be at peace

Of being yellow and be the best there is.

I am yellow.

SO HAPPY TO BE UNIQUELY YELLOW.
