I am Synesthesia

My first poem

By Michelle Published 5 years ago 1 min read

I am Synes Thesia

My True Colors world has

prickly red points of light.

They pierce like lasers

Sounding off, on the right.

Hundreds of silvery-blue spheres,

of differing sizes

Clamor through my ears.

A glass band disguises

smooth, blue and green echoes,

concave shapes between,

silver energy thrown in curves,

of blue tinklers in the green.

Every moment, symphonic color

distracts me from my mission

but Pink sounds of bubbling water

will grant an intermission.

Red and orange are foes

See, Red is in love with Yellow

but Yellow fell in love with Orange

Red is an unlucky fellow.

Green and blue are besties

They understand one another

They bend and they blend

with no need to smother.

Klee paintings buzz like bees

with all of those lines and circles;

Like palms swaying in a breeze,

dancing upon hues of color.

I hear a song’s splash of colors,

an abstract painting in time.

Textured words radiate heat

‘Til my palms feel sublime.
