I Am Present

I live for today, and I’m happier than ever in nature. 🍃

I Am Present

The sound of drizzling rain

through the trees—

It complements the site of electric

green leaves.

Moisture in the air cools me down.

Sweating out the impurities in my body.

Too free to engage in the talk of the town.

There’s too much beauty all around.

Nature is the purest antibody.

It penetrates deep to cleanse the soul.

I prepared a bowl of fruits for lunch.

Drinking less mimosas for brunch.

Health is the most valuable currency I have.

Though I don’t blame myself for

recurrence of old habits…

Sometimes guilty pleasures are

worth the shame.

Instead of beating myself up,

I go outside and watch the rabbits.

They’re hopping and eating grass.

Not holding back because they’re

potential prey.

Just proceeding to hop without dismay.

I hyper focus on the present day with relish.

Continually embellishing the outdoors

with my presence.

I live for today only, and out here in nature

I’m never lonely.

Nature calls. I love the open call of nature. You will find me seeking nature trails wherever i go. Best times ever out in the wild. I totally agree.

  • I really related to this. I often seek out nature to recenter myself this poem was a beautiful way to describe that

RP, this was such a pure and beautiful poem. It felt like a breath of fresh air, very peaceful and calming. Your descriptive language was beautiful, it really helped me as the reader find this place and space you wanted to bring me to. The line “Nature is the purest antibody” really spoke to me as it brought to mind the idea of finding inner peace and taking time to have mindful moments. Which being in nature is one of the places I find I can best do that. The antibody being that it gives me time to heal the way I need to. Overall a great poem, nicely done!

  • I love it! I especially love this line: "Health is the most valuable currency I have." That is so true. When we strip everything else away, our health and our relationships are the only real things that matter. This poem is as profound as it is beautiful. Sometimes, I go for walks in the pouring rain to soothe my soul in nature's cleansing spa! Well done, R.P.!

  • Rain always makes me feel nostalgic too. if you donot know, let me tell you an interesting fact if one bathes in rain (never in first rain as it takes down the impurity of airs),the rain water fulfills many mineral requirements of body.❤

In the realm of now, I take my stance, A joyful soul, in nature's sweet expanse. Amidst the verdant tapestry, I find my way, Where whispers of leaves dance and gently sway.💪✨ @NicksKhan2 by DeXignSHK #SHK_Writes
