I enjoy the simplicity of silence,
the calmness of the quiet,
the relief of relaxation.
I enjoy being alone,
sometimes...
not all the time.
But when I am alone
I can hear my thoughts flow out of me and onto paper.
I can feel the anxiety falling behind me
as if I had told it I don't love it anymore.
I feel the worry I used to have diminish
like water in heat,
as if turning into vapor.
They ask me if I am okay,
if I am upset,
as if I have to be upset and flawed to be alone.
I am fine,
I am good I tell them,
I like the quiet.
I can hear my own thoughts.
I can see my own dreams and visions
like they are right in front of me.
Yes, sometimes I want someone,
but those other times,
the times I am happy being alone,
I am calm and worriless.
I am okay.
