I'm the 10-year-old girl being told at church,

That my skirt's too short and I need to change my shirt.

Yet, no one's telling the pastor that he's a fucking pervert,

If a little girl's body makes him feel so disturbed.

/

I'm the 14-year-old girl getting harassed,

Boys pass me in the hallways, saying I got a fat ass.

And yet when one of the losers tried to grab,

I got told off for wearing tight jeans like that.

/

You want to know my name?

My name is Jane Doe.

I'm every girl in your life,

I'm every woman that you know.

You want to know my name?

My name is Jane Doe.

I could be the last face you see,

Don't you even come close.

/

I'm the 22-year-old at a bar with my friends,

Telling some douchebag "no" over and over again.

He's getting pissy, saying I won't give him a chance.

I'm so tired of constantly doing this song and dance.

/

I'm the 25-year-old grad student at a party,

These frat boys are closing off all exits and I'm getting worried.

No, I don't want anything you give me, I don't want a drink.

I text a friend, "if you don't hear from me in six hours, call the police."

/

You want to know my name?

My name is Jane Doe.

I'm every girl in your life,

I'm every woman you know.

You want to know my name?

My name is Jane Doe.

I could be the last face you see,

Don't even you come close.

/

I'm the unconscious girl lying on a random bed.

My body's bent and bruised, there's hands gripping my head.

Everything is blurry and I wish I was fucking dead.

They don't care at all and I thought one guy was my friend.

/

I'm the corpse in the forest, rotting into the dirt.

But to these sadistic motherfuckers, some men aren't deterred.

They'll defile anything on this whole fucking Earth...

But still blame the women for their lack of self-worth.

/

You want to know my name?

My name is Jane Doe.

I'm every girl in your life,

I'm every woman you know.

You want to know my name?

My name is Jane Doe.

Put these fuckers in jail,

Or we're coming for their throats.
