I am the space

That connects us all

I am a part

Of every portrait

And every pattern

I have been told

I must be this

Or to be that

That life is White

And life is Black

And I am not

I will not bow

To boxes

To labels

To limits.

I am a spectrum

Of brightness

Undefined

And indefinable.
