I Am Africa's Tomorrow

I Am Africa's Tomorrow

By Omasanjuwa OgharandukunPublished 4 months ago • 1 min read

I am the child of red earth and rain,

Born where struggle and hope share the same lane,

Where dreams are planted in stubborn ground,

And success grows without making a sound.

I am the voice of Lagos traffic,

The rhythm of hustle, raw and graphic,

The market trader, the coder, the king,

The future hidden in everything.

They told us Africa was waiting,

Yet every day I see us creating,

Building businesses from borrowed light,

Turning impossible into flight.

I carry the wisdom of those before,

The stories, the scars, the strength they wore,

For a people who survived every storm,

Learned that pressure creates a different form.

So when the world asks who I am,

I answer proudly where I stand:

I am Africa's tomorrow, rising today,

And no force on earth can stand in my way.
