Ebbing and flowing

One day I am up

The next I am down

I come and I go

But I’m always around

I am a particle

Vibrating and spinning

Sometimes its excitement

Sometimes it is dread

I wish to be still

But then I’d be dead

I am light

When I accept both

Viewed from behind

I appear slightly red

And viewed from behind

I’m a much cooler blue

But any way viewed

I am still me

And you are still you

A light in the dark
