I Am A Riddle In 7 Syllables
A Grow Poem
A teetering young table
Supported by years of news
Papers whisper curl at the
Soft edges of history
Brown curls tied back by a band
Stretched to hold me together
Tender touches bring me back
To gentleness and kindness
When she traces my long lines
Helps me acknowledge a truth
That rainstorms are still giving
A beautiful existence
Lines like endless roads and earth
Also teetering on axis
Still beautiful, still tender

Thank you taking the time to read my poetry. This poem was a challenge prompt I did with a dear friend, where each line can only be a certain amount of syllables but you need to write in metaphors. This was definitely an intriguing one for me.
