Poetry

By Ron WalkerPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

Flames engulf the hands

of father time -

i lose my place,

while injecting shadows,

darkness spills across my space-

when the demons whisper,

i collapse another vein-

The voices scream incessantly,

again --

to kill the pain...

reality now falls

into the void,

within my soul,

spirits chanting

in the

never

wait to pay the toll...

stripes begin to swirl,

and glow-

within the tainted spell,

temptation rising

from this

spiral

locks me in a cell...

Sand has turned away

from father time,

inside this realm-

Seconds become centuries --

as madness guides the helm...

my glass of whiskey

wasted

As i crawl across the floor,

i try to mend the pieces

but they break

Apart before...

Shackled to my sentences,

i scratched into the stone-

i cannot return until the voices are gone...Sinning Poet Tree
