Husk

there is so little left now

By Savannah K. WilsonPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read
If being alone forever means I never feel this again ... I accept it gladly

My heart is black and dust

Nothing of it remains now

Beyond hope and saving

Leave it there, leave it

In pools of tears and pain

No one needs it

No one wants it

No one will miss it

Closed now forever

No more risking it

There is no point

Put it away in the dark

Leave it to the webs

If it were up to me

I would rip it from my chest

Throw it in the fire

Let it burn like chaff

Let it burn and char

Let it melt away unused

Simply broken

Leaving this empty

Husk
