You breathe like a secret I’m dying to break,

Soft little tremor I’m starving to take.

Hands on your waist, yeah—silence behaves,

But you whisper too loud when you want to be saved.

Closer…

Don’t speak…

I make the quiet bleed…

HUSHKILLER.

I shut you up just to hear you shiver.

HUSHKILLER.

You bite back—god, it makes me sicker.

You shake like a fever that crawls up my spine,

Beg for the touch that erases the line.

Say you want mercy—I know you don’t mean it,

Your body says do it before you can scream it.

Hush now…

Let go…

Let me pull you under slow…

HUSHKILLER.

I choke the noise just to feel you quiver.)

HUSHKILLER.

You’re the sin that I’ll drag to the river.

Say my name without a sound—

That’s how I like you best.

Quiet girl with the violent heart—

Thrashing under my chest.
