Hush Child

Lay Down Your Head

Hush child and lay down your head

Go to sleep and sweet dreams will follow

Your mother’s arms around you will lull you even deeper

As you sink into the darkness and your eyelids stop emitting strange and colorful patterns

Your heartbeat will slow until it is barely even there

Child, your brothers have carried you far enough

You’ve laid your own head down for their own

Your own sacrifice has created a sense of gratitude and immense suffering

The loss of your life has affected many

It’s time for you to rest now

Sweet dreams little brother, your name will never be forgotten
