Hurt feelings

How you feel usually doesn’t make sense

How cruel.

To constantly abuse kindness

like a game never chosen.

Hurting those you love

will never satisfy the soul.

Misinterpreting feelings

can cause damage

never imagined—

or felt.

Realizing human nature

comes with flaw and sin

makes a person stronger,

not weaker.

Understanding that everyone struggles

guides peace into thought—

forcing us to stay grounded.

Flourish in times of turmoil.

Let strength define itself

in the hardest places.

Even through pain,

we often choose poorly—

protecting our worst behaviors.

But why?

Looking in the mirror

won’t change an image.

But looking within

one’s character

can heal a generation.

Somehow,

while searching for answers,

we find simple resolutions

staring right back at us.

So before you look—

try touching your chest

and imagine happiness

as something you’re allowed to keep.
