You opened the door.
I walked in naked.
I walked in without a weapon.
It was an ambush.
My severed head
hangs
dripping blood
from your bedpost.
My eyes
are blackened
by the knowledge:
I was nothing
you could not live without.
Nothing
you would miss.
And yet,
my dead mouth
keeps calling your name
and
with no body to feed it,
I am hungry.

Finally realizing I need to start acting like the main character in my own life. Writing helps me figure out where I keep losing the plot and giving away my spotlight. My story is a big mix of drama, comedy, tragedy, thriller, and, horror.
