A flash of iridescent green,
A flutter of wings so fast,
The hummingbird, so small and lean,
Dances among the flowers, at last.
With a heart that beats like a drum,
It hovers, sips and darts away,
A symphony of motion,
In a performance, nature's play.
So tiny, yet so fierce,
A creature, full of life and fire,
It reminds us to be fierce,
And to reach for our heart's desire.
Like a bird, we too must fly,
With passion, and with grace,
And like the hummingbird, we too can try
To soar in life's ever-changing race.
