Human

Human Beings

By Tiffany BlaylockPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

How is it that life can push you to the edge and also be so warm and delightful?

We take on the days like lions and other days were like newborn fawns.

We feed the voids with relationships but also we stay hungry.

We see the light but that light tends to flicker and die at times.

We believe but we don’t see.

We care to much but also not at all.

We are giving but also selfish.

We love but we tarnish.

We stick to the path but also digress.

We move forward but also backwards.

We are full of energy but also exhausted.

We feel but we’re also numb.

We are satisfied but also unsatisfied.

We speak up but we also stay silent.

We work hard and we also work minimally.

We are human but we are also animal.

We are we.
