Hues

A palette of you

I've lived moments of every hue. Kaleidoscope memories twirl into view;

Flying through blues, be them skies or life's lows, sunlight or storm clouds like black wings of crows.

I've delved inky waters, needing only to move, deepest of seas 'neath a full Asian moon,

In greys and whites, cold and austere, I recall German winters, icy, severe. Warmed by the ambers of friendship and beer.

Green, black and red flood past, present and after. My spectrum of siblings in a tough home of laughter.

Gold, peach and violet, hungry for change, fleeing from romance and the redness of shame. My own heart a stranger, dithering and unnamed.

Racing for pastures, fuchsia and aflame, running further from comfort, my spirit unchained.

Rich drops of purple then brought about change; calm-downs and hometowns, lock-downs and strain.

Sickly off-whites flattened great hopes, skies remained flightless and the seas without boats.

English summers of lemon made health fears ease. Lonely times relished in a secure turquoise breeze.

Then you came with silver and chance in your eyes. Priceless and homely with glittering charm, old feelings found us, we went arm in arm.

In a whirlwind of pinks and bounteous creams, our love sang of hopes, our blood hummed with dreams. You arms sleeved with ink, holding me tight, my stomach with butterflies', orange and light.

Our path long and dappled with more changes due. Yellow bricks trodden to fortunes anew.

A journey unfinished with colors unseen, hopes high like aqua, smooth and serene.

More moments awaits us, a new shade of free. Kaleidoscope futures, hues now shared with he.
