How To Feel

Stand in the middle of a field.

Put your feet at the edge of a cliff.

Feel the water lap over your bare toes.

***

Throw your arms back.

Throw your head back.

Clench your fists.

Open your mouth.

***

Scream, cry, wail.

Let it all out.

Everything you feel.

Everything you suppress.

***

You will feel hollow.

You will feel lighter.

You will be free.
