A how-to poem for all to see,

On tasks we do with such great ease,

But let's not forget and take for granted,

These mundane chores that keep us grounded.

First, let's start with tying shoes,

A task we do without a muse,

To tie them tight and make them stay,

Loop the laces, knot them away.

Turning on a lamp, a simple feat,

But still, let's get it just right and neat,

Plug it in and flip the switch,

And darkness will no longer pitch.

Lastly, pouring coffee, a morning pleasure,

A simple task with great measure,

Fill the cup, not too full, not too low,

Add sugar or cream, or take it to go.

These tasks may seem mundane and small,

But let's not ignore and give a gall,

For they are what keep us moving ahead,

And make each day a new platform to tread.
