Should I live vicariously
through you?
Wishing to have your life
thinking my views are true?
Should I go by what society wants?
Looking a certain way so I’m when I’m out in public I don’t get taunts?
Why must looks to be everything to us?
Why must I appeal to gain your trust?
Why does she get it, but I don’t?
Why must I hide, when I can flaunt?
How should I live?
Not through them
It’s not what you bring
It’s what you give
How should I live?
Not through their eyes
There are already ppl living there
Someone should give me a try
You don’t wait for the way
You pave it
You don’t wait for approval
You gave it
Why wait for what to say
When you’re saying it
How you should live is the way
YOU make it
How should I live?
What’s the difference in us?
“We’re all unique”
In that, I should trust?
When she looks like her
And does what she does?
How should I live?
This question is tough
When society sees one way
That we all should look
You don’t like heavy sets that’s fine
And don’t get me wrong, we should
All be healthy,
I’m not dismissing that dime
But, penny for your thoughts?
I thought it was what you give and
Not what you brought
That should turn ppls heads
To make them watch what you flaunt?
So, how should I live?
What should I do?
How do I get those to notice me
While sticking to what’s true?
You tell me
Since you know your way around
But I’m still gonna do
What the fuck I’m about
