Hate feels like such an emotionally packed word.

But in this moment, it’s the most accurate of my feelings.

I hate how you make me feel.

I hate how I love you with every fiber of my being.

I hate these feelings that I have inside.

Why does your love have to feel so toxic?

Why does it have to hurt me?

~

My heart stumbles and crawls back into my chest

It cries out to be loved

To feel warmth and appreciation.

This lesson feels like I’m shredding the pages of my story

I hate how this feels

How I can love you and hate you all at once.
