You cannot reinforce a house of cards.

You can't pin or glue two cards together,

without weighing them down.

You build a house of cards with no foundation,

each suit exposed to the elements

no earth to keep them in place.

I built my house of cards with you.

You helped me form the walls and build it tall.

I'd revel in our masterpiece to watch you blow it all down.

You can't build a house of cards with a joker.

There are far too many tricks up their sleeves,

you have to split the deck and become your own ace.
