they said you
don’t wanna live
in a broken house
but i like my window frames
hollow
and my gardens
untamed.
they said
you won’t survive
the cold/the dark/the empty
but i only like
winds that carry me away
the color black
and hearts that are hungry.
i sit cross legged
on the floor
i can draw
on the walls
and every day
is a fight
i barely survive.
just how i want it.
my door peels
you can see me
naked/alone/unafraid
because towering mansions
are prisons
i never want to visit.
you are my broken home.
beautiful/imperfect/perfect.
(for me).
