In Pickup Trucks

So many guys in pickup trucks!

Every car is a pickup truck, and a guy inside is a handsome man,

His hat turned to the front, or maybe just the back band,

This one-horse town better look out now,

I want a man and I'm on the prowl,

Young or old, I don't care, as long as he's rich and he's still got hair.

I want him hot and sweet, make me sweat when we meet, kiss like a vixen, and make love as I miss him.

I left a man, his name was Jack, and I thought he loved me but he never gave back,

He didn't drive a pickup truck, said he had to sell it when he was down on his luck,

So we rode in his Chevy, dated 1956

We fought like dogs and he was a dick,

He promised the world and let me down but I should have known he'd sneak out of town,

So when I see a guy in a pickup truck,

I get excited but remember my luck,

Such sweet men, they drive up and down the street and their pickup trucks are always pleasant and neat

They add the lights and they polish the paint and they know the girls all want a date

I'm on the prowl I'll take my chances,

I love the man and his fancy truck

I want his love and don't give a damn

I know I'll find my perfect man!

I love art as much as writing, and when the world feels dark, I get out my paper and colored pencils and draw while listening to music. When my husband and I were going through a divorce, journaling is what got me through that..
