Horns and Claws

Even demons suffer from themselves.

By Shadow T.Published 9 years ago 1 min read

“You grow claws to protect,

The sharper the better,

Enjoying the sight of them

Slicing up skin, flesh

Right to the bone,

The scent of blood suffocates:

You are not the one

Who is bleeding tonight.

You feel your skin glow,

Horns, wings, tongues,

Running your fingers along

Their trembling skin,

You close your eyes:

You are not the one

Who is screaming tonight.

In the swarming pit of wailing howls,

You stand, proud, wishing to

Rule them all.

With bared fangs, you reach out, gasping for air, flashing eyes -

Yellow, Red, Purple, it all

Flows together tonight.

——

Yet, you are the one

Who screams, trembles, howls,

Scratching your skin with your

Claws, biting your flesh with your

Fangs, breaking your horns,

Tearing your wings out,

You are the one who

Loses tonight,

Wishing to get out.”
