HORIZONS

The lifelong chase to reach a place you may never find.

By David ZimmermanPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

They distract us with these phones.

We are all connected, but feel alone.

Click and tap til' bleeding bones.

That’s what we do, stuck in our homes.

The perfect time to strike with drones.

They watch and listen to make us clones.

Market things we don’t yet own, so we can grow and grow and grow.

But these things are fleeting, made like scones.

Turn to dust like rotten stone.

So when we are all good and grown.

Our kin will have nothing but tones, in holograms that they are shown.

But I’m optimistic.

This isn’t science but I’m scientific.

I’m rhyming for the signs I’m given.

Strayed away too long but now it’s hitting.

Hospitalized too many times, I made decisions.

If you knew me then, then believe my vision.

I will feed the children.

Provide them knowledge to achieve their living.

To build the bridges, we speak with mind.

But you're too scared to believe that you could fly.

What if everything they taught was lies?

What if everything we believed was false?

The perfect system built to keep us doing as we’re told, without even knowing we are owned.

So let’s break out of that box.

Where big brother, he cannot watch.

When you look deep within you’ll realize that you are God.

You seek perfection, but don’t realize you live in heaven.

Hell will balance.

Dualities of light and darkness.

Good and evil, love your people

As that sun fades to night and your eyelids fall heavy tight.

Dream of those pure delights.

The vibe is right like flying kite.

Electrified inside your mind.

This is where you find.

Your.

HORIZON.
