Horizon Turned Red

Poem

After a passionate love affair with sunshine

I kept my tired body in the shade of the trees,

Cool south wind came and kissed my

Sweaty forehead, cheeks, eyelids-

Every time I experienced that,

Memory of a silent deep lake came,

It was of a cloudy afternoon,

A pair of white ducks were playing on the water.

That memory always brought another memory-

When the gates of your two eyes opened,

Thousands of blue rivers came down

Overcoming stone barriers

Bypassing the gray prohibition of sand dunes

Those rivers were just running

Running, running, running towards the sea.

I was being taken away by the mighty currents,

I held out my hand for help,

I only got a sharp slice of crescent moon,

The horizon turned red.
