why do i bother?
why would i dream?
why do the clouds open for me,
and cast upon me beams
only to take them away at once
as if they never were?
suddenly the rays that brought me warmth
leave an aftermath of burns.
and the angels that may have sung
are a cacophony of sound
i have no choice but to scream
if only to drown it out.
why have a will
if there's no way?
why try for better
if it doesn't stay?
it's hopeless.
