He made me feel hope
Something I hadn't felt in a while
*
He asked,
"What does hope mean to you?"
*
I was dumbfounded
How do you explain something
that has lived dormant in your soul
waiting to sprout?
*
It was a long lost feeling
freshly uncovered
*
Hope in humanity
*
That there's still
real people among the fake
good among evil
love among hate
*
He gave me a seed of hope
A nudge forward
to grow a garden of faith
*
Faith
that life is unfolding
just as it should
To relish in reality
with love at my fingertips
Blessings blossoming
beneath my feet
*
Surrendering to the synchronicities
The direction of the divine plan
Honoring that despite my wandering
I trust I am on the right path

ocean eyes
do you see me? we sat by the ocean's edge, your bright eyes gleaming in the intimate gaze of twilight. we sat by the edge, watching the waters dance, listening to the waves' tranquility. a cool breeze ruffled your hair as you absently poked at the sand, unaware of my tentative gaze. you are beautiful, and so is nature, but i never liked the ocean until i saw your eyes.

Morning Bliss
Something pulls at me. The darkness no longer so dark, but a softer gray, a flutter of light. The feeling of skin against sheets is fleeting, quickly drowned out by the push of bone against muscle, of nerves once silent now screaming. Awareness is painful, every breath rattling my ribs and pushing my spine against its cord.
