Homecoming

What it feels to come home

By Disni BandaranayakePublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

My eyes flutter open, there you are brightly, boldly surrounding me

In the Japa mala and sunlight streaming down onto my little tree

You wave hello in the wind’s chill, the bird’s song – to feel is your welcome home

In patches of greenery, at my least loved drive-thru, today you roam

Now wait, to be at home is not the sigh opening the door, not to seclude in a cave, in a forest, away from “them” …they are you and to know you is to love them all

You unite us all - your all-pervading Divinity, at last I see
