Twice experienced once recognized

By Erin MceldowneyPublished 5 years ago • Updated 5 years ago • 1 min read
Full Moon Fall 2021

Destination sometimes ventures further from home than the care taken to recognize and small changes on the path to adventure lead away from daylights familiarity

Will the way back be found as dark night falls?

Cold, crisp footsteps echo across suddenly unfamiliar fields, freezing shadow lands where unimaginable terrors lurk

Spirit, a trusted companion and unseen force whispers that oneness is eminent in the return to safety

Pungent fear in the air, heavy with dread under a hunters moon, a dementor will be fed if allowed to divide our composure

Mind racing, carefully orchestrated hints dropped by God to be the optimistic watcher of the panicked chitter chatter

Icy saliva and sharp breath buries itself in the bones of any being with a pulse in the freezing scurry back to shelter, without protection we’d surely succumb to doom

Physical body remembers the welcome sensation of a warm bath in a comfortable place which shakes off the chill

With the final acknowledgment that heart is guarded by souls shepherd, the initial, shallow prayer is answered and daylight returns

Daylight returns to shine upon the house that now seemed just a dwelling, but on the inside

Spirit, Mind, Soul and Body is reunited with Source

A choice to trust that home never doubts or fears its presence is a gift bestowed upon the most brave of wanderers
