Home Town Hope

“Dreaming About What I Want”

The place where I thought I belonged.

Noticing that people around me will never tell the truth.

Laid back and being a homebody is all I do.

Chasing a dream and getting to this money.

Knowing that a man is the last thing on my mind.

Facing the fact that I will never get that same love back.

Like laying in bed waiting on you to come home and play in my head.

But, when you left that’s when home needed a healing.

Sitting down and thinking about life in a corner.

Mediating on what the world could have for me.

Working on ever being happy is the best feeling.

Just me and another friend.

Screaming girl live out your dreams.

Become that person your angels push you to be.

But, home will always be one call away.

Knowing a little town could carry so much pain.

Putting so many people in a bad place,

not wanting to see the community have happy days.

Little boys grow up to be thugs and toting guns,

little girls being a statistic of being a young mom.

Going to court knowing, people are killing just for fun.

Just take back my home town and remembering what I need to do to come up.

And just bring happiness and hope to my folks!
