An acrostic poem on silence

Surrender, o' beloved. We drift calmly in these waters.

Inch closer, my heart; not a ripple nor breeze will find you.

Latch yourself upon my breast, gentle drumming precedes your departure.

Encumbered by your vessel, your breath a sifting hourglass.

Need not hear a dying star to know it's singing. Calling,

Calling to the void to bid it mercy; repose from living chatter.

Eternally we are soundless when welcomed home to rest.
