The ache of leaving

Sun kissed skies with a slight hint of breeze

I am walking through the streets with my light blue jeans

thinking how I never want to leave because this place is my dream

Cairo oh Cairo you've brought a smile to my face and for that

I forever want to stay

But I know that I need to go back to a place that I dread

But my family tell's me to not dread because this is my home

but now I need to go

Pack up my things and leave with the breeze

but now I am a long way from home

sad poetry
