Speak words of love to me,

Masked under lies of forsaken dreams.

Where are you,

Why aren’t you here with me?

It's so dark,

Your embrace: freezing.

I cannot sleep while tucked under a blanket,

Made of your shadows.

I see your withering smile whenever I call out to you.

Grasping for your hand,

The bones were brittle and so delicate from distaste.

A smile made up of one thousand needles.

Contempt written under dirty fingernails,

Because I told you I’ve fallen in love with tomorrow.

I've always known,

You felt like home.
