When I think of Home? I think of Peace.
At the end of everyday a place to retreat.
To chill out, to unwind, a slice of heaven, Cloud 9.
Unfortuantely, not every home is like this.
Some people don't get peace, that slice of bliss.
Some people's homes are like Battlegrounds, a constant state of fight.
Some feel too trapped that they don't get a chance to take flight.
Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, there is no difference, it all happens in the home.
And its a shame to think that there's kids out there that feel alone.
For them to believe that they aren't, they have to be shown.
However, what happens in the dark must be brought to the light.
Provide the light, give them a chance to fight.
Someday they will become that becaon of hope, that shining light.
They'll be the ones one day to shine really bright.
Where there won't be any darkness anymore.
The vicious circle will be broken. They already know the score.
And in the rest of the world because of political turmoil,
Homes get torn apart, people in conflict, just for resources like Oil.
At least that was the case.
Refugees, trying to find a safe space, to call home.
And to make a fresh new start, and to make connections with new people so that they aren't alone.
Even in though there's darkness in this world, in the small things there's beauty to be found.
At least there is something in humanity, something profound.
And one day, because of the steps they take? They be proud.
