More than this life
More than a body
Or a place
Home is
More than a feeling
Or a person
Or even that level of comfort
In a loved ones embrace
Home is so much more
Than where we go
Or what we’re taught
Or who we become
In this limited time
Motion picture
That is forever fleeting
But always leading
To that one destination
That is truly
Home
Yes, home is heaven
And not those pearly gates
Or the streets of gold
Or the angelic beings worshipping to and fro
Home is a King
That is, the Kingdom
A place where crying
And sadness
And death
And distress
And turmoil
And pain
Are swallowed up
In victory
A kingdom where defeat no longer has dominion
And who we are called to be is a given
And where our bodies are transformed
And we transcend
Beyond everything we once knew
To new life that begins again
Yes, home is coming
And home is waiting
And we are going
Because we are chosen
But until then
We wait
And eagerly desire
Anxiously hope
And confess our faith
For our heavenly home
Is more than riches
Or the greatest thing
We could ever want in this body
Home is beyond us
Yet still within us
A greater glory
That lives through us
And while we wait
We must shine
And arise
Until that day
We are called
Home
