Grandma’s House

Grandma’s House

Where grandpa’s yellow roses drench the cobblestone

Where hunnysuckle trickles down the fence lines and fills the air

Where the warm breeze is broken by the cool breath of bubbling springs

Where every child’s wildest dreams are met with kind eyes and a smile

Where after supper tractor rides are traded for little squishy hugs

Where grilled cheese sandwiches are a delicacy -and -only eaten after grace is said

Where a tattered quilt and chicken soup can heal any illness

Where wrinkled, strong hands hold little fingers and little hearts tightly

Where cousins become life long friends

Where memories are made

Where angels become grandparents and grandparents become angels

Where grandma is -

home .
